FRAME
Robust construction made in stainless steel sections with removable panels on the lower side, and glass on the upper side for the complete visibility of the process. The rear side houses the control devices for the system as well as the air and flux pumps, the ultrasonic module, the flux reservoir, the air intake, etc. The variable slope conveyor, the exhaust stuck, the air knife, the motors and sensors are mounted on suitable holders fixed on the frame.

OPTION
Fire suppression system, complete with sensor, pressure switch, diffusers, automatic valve, CO2 bottle.

PROCESS UNIT
Composed by the following parts:

  • Spray ultrasonic nozzle working at 48 kHz
  • Power supply-generator
  • Two fixed nozzles called "opposed jets" for the low pressure air emission, able to change the spray pattern in order to match the PCB width. The air is supplied by a small built in compressor with variable speed DC motor.
  • A suitable air knife for pushing gently the atomized flux towards the PCB surface. The air is supplied by a small fan with variable speed DC motor.
  • A pump with variable flow rate for feeding the atomizing nozzle. The circuit includes a 3 ways valve as well, automatically switched on by the control unit aimed to either send the flux to the nozzle, or back to the flux tank when no PCB is detected.

CONVEYOR
Foreseen for IM 88 carriages (for other carriage types on request) suitable for PCB of 406 mm max width. The variable slope conveyor is composed by extruded aluminum rails, anodized, with antistatic flat belt, running on suitable conductive and friction less guides. DC motor with variable speed from 0 to 3m/minute, incline from 0 to 7 degrees.

OPTION

    • Lower conveyor, for the carriage return to the work places. This item is indispensable when the IM 135 is installed in an automatic handling system.
    • Bare board conveyor with variable slope. It is composed by extruded aluminum rails anodized, with silent chains with pins, running on antistatic and friction less guides. The conveyor is adjustable and deviced for PCB width from 50 to 406 mm.

CONTROL UNIT
The system includes a dedicated microprocessor with regulation devices and digital indicator for:

  • Conveyor speed
  • Flux flow rate
  • Power supply to the nozzle
  • Possibility of adjusting the air flow rate of the opposed jets and air knife error messages main switch, acoustic alarm and emergency switch.

MISCELLANEOUS

  • Flux reservoir of 20 liters, with quick joints for the connection with the flux pump.
  • Exhaust sensor.
  • Sensor for the automatic switch on/off of the nozzle when a PCB is detected.
